IDENTIFYING THE RISK EARLY and preventing early work-related musculoskeletal disorders is ideal. The best time for an ergonomic assessment is when you are planning your new work area. A good time is when continuing to work in existing circumstances becomes uncomfortable, unproductive or impossible due to pain or discomfort.
When you suspect that incorrect postures, habits or workstation setup are causing you musculoskeletal pain or preventing you from working, it is time to call for an ergonomic consultation.
